Great food, an upscale dining experience without being stuffy and pretentious. Tried several different items and while pricey, absolutely worth the cost! Already planning a second trip.

Excellent all around. We ordered the calamari and the Buffalo tots which were to die for. For the main course I enjoyed the paella which was incredibly hot and full of flavor. This was my first time here and I can honestly say that I will be going back in the future!

1. It's such a cute place and the staff is super friendly/welcoming. 2. The food was delicious. My boyfriend and i were struggling to pick something because the whole menu looked phenomenal. 3. The dessert is to die for. We had the apple caramel walnut cake. It was amazing and you could tell it was freshly made. I'd give the place 6 stars out of 5 if i could.

We had a wonderful dinner at Oxford Tavern in Barrington, RI. Our server was very pleasant and made great recommendations throughout the evening. He started us off with spaghetti sticks—crispy fried pasta with seasoning—and warm bread served with oil and garlic. Both were delicious and a great way to begin the meal. I ordered the chicken fried bison steak, which was topped with bacon and served with red bliss mashed potatoes and perfectly seasoned asparagus. Everything was flavorful and well-balanced. My husband went with the surf and turf, which included a grilled beef filet alongside a seafood casserole with lobster, scallops, and shrimp. While he enjoyed it overall, he felt the seafood had a frozen taste and the filet could have used a bit more seasoning. What really stood out was the fact that the chefs came out to check in on the meal—it’s rare to see that level of pride and care in a small kitchen. Overall, we were very happy with our visit and are already looking forward to coming back and trying something new!

Watching Chef Alan Manchester create his incredible dishes in the behind-the-bar kitchen is like watching a great jazz drummer doing a solo. His area is limited but his system is compact and super-efficient and the man just never stops moving turning out dish after dish from his daily menu for hungry patrons. It's something to see. While Chef Manchester is the heart of the Oxford Tavern his support crew are no slouches either, from Mixologist Arielle Manchester (Alan's daughter) right on through every other team member, they all work together well creating great food. The night I was there I split dishes with my dining partner opting for: Shrimp and Chourico Mozambique with offered generous-sized shrimp with chunks of chourico and one of the best Mozambique sauces I've ever had. The dish worked well and the chourico and the shrimp were great in that sauce. The Local-Style Paella was also really good. Unlike many of the soupy, overly-rich paellas you'll run into locally, this one was balanced, and the rice was light and fluffy and the other ingredients were fresh and cooked for maximum flavor and texture. The Ribeye Steak was just amazing. It was cooked to perfection with a perfect and flavorful crust and the interior was tender and equally flavorful. This killer deal on this ribeye was the generous dollop of house-made black truffle herb butter. It just put the entire dish over the top for me. Certainly, among the better steaks I've ever ordered anywhere. It is something I will return to again for certain. A definite surprise was the asparagus. Strange right? Someone noting a side? It was THE BEST ASPARAGUS I HAVE EVER HAD. Deep fried a bit I am told and that seems to have made an amazing difference. From the bar I had an Old Fashioned and my dining partner had a Espresso Martini. I can't speak for the martini but I will say the Old Fashioned was great. The lovely Arielle turned out a Brooklym-worthy cocktail there. It took me a long time to get here but it was worth going? Will I go again? Damn straight I will. I now have a standing monthly visit with the dining partner from this visit and I'm bringing new people to introduce them to this local gem! Nice job Chef Alan and crew - truly impressive food and cocktails. I want to see how many more diggity-dam-great dishes you can turn out.

I must say this place is a hidden gem. Very pleasant atmosphere always spotless, clean. The hard-working staff are always attentive to detail, friendly, and eager to have a conversation . Every week Chef Alan presents different specials and knocks it out of the park. The food is Fantastic and always consistent. You know you’re getting Great consistency every time you order a dish.. The bartender Arielle is always spot on And will serve you well whether you’re having a dirty martini or a fiddlehead beer it is served with a smile. The seafood chowder at this place is hands-down, the best you’ll ever have in your life!!. Everything from the ribeye to the veal chops are extremely healthy portions and have a flavor second to none. This is a family run business who treat you like you are their family.. I strongly recommend, considering this place, go there and give it a shot
